PSAB is undertaking this survey as part of the Future Work Plan Consultation to gather input on the projects it should take on, to help fulfill the strategies identified in its Strategic Plan 2022-2027. As some strategies are underway, outlined in the 2022-2023 Annual Plan, PSAB more specifically would like your input on determining the projects it may consider when residual resources become available.

    PSAB Future Work Plan Consultation Survey

    It is essential that PSAB hears your views on the proposed projects so that it can best address your needs and priorities. The Board proposes the following project topics in no order:

    Major projects

    • Intangibles
    • Impairment of Assets
    • Amendment to the Introduction to Public Sector Accounting Standards

    Minor projects

    • Update to ACCOUNTING CHANGES, Section PS 2120
    • Inventories
    • Update STATEMENT OF RECOMMENDED PRACTICE (SORP) 1, Financial Statement Discussion and Analysis (FSD&A)

    The first few questions are to obtain information with respect to respondents so that PSAB can analyze data based on the type of public sector entity, geography, and other attributes.
